Raising Vibrations=Improving Your Mood

I notice that many people have been using the phase, “Raise your vibrations”. When I had no idea what people were talking about, I thought it was just more “woo woo” kind of stuff. But after doing a bit of research, I discovered that it is something that I believed in all this time, but just did not understand how to describe it.

According to science, we are all more energy than mass, at least that is how atoms and molecules were explained to me throughout school. Our thoughts also are energy as well. Our neural connections are electric currents. So when “raising your vibrations” was explained to me in how the lower the vibration, the lower our mood (i.e. shame, fear, anger), raising vibrations meant utilizing a different thought frequency to reach joy, love and peace.

It has also been explained to me that like any matter, the state in which it is in has a different energy. The easiest example is water. When it is frozen, the matter is solid and molecules move very slowly. When it is in liquid form, the molecules move faster than as a solid. As a gas state, vapor or steam, the molecules move even faster, so fast that they can escape the pull of gravity and remain in the atmosphere.

Functioning throughout the day on a higher vibration to me, means having more energy, more joy, more creativity. The easiest way for me to achieve that is to be at the beach. The negative ions from the waves hitting the sand, the clean salty ocean breeze, and the sounds of the waves just puts me in that space where nothing can bother me.

With that said, I don’t want to send the message that it’s ALWAYS good to live at such high vibrations all the time. Sometimes we need to be still or need to be sad. This article is just to clarify what it means when people use the phase, “Raise your vibrations.” Sometimes you might find yourself in a funk and may benefit from a boost in raising the frequency in which you are functioning at.

There are many options for raising your vibration through your thoughts, through your movement, through your choices in what you eat, through the people you surround yourself with, through the environment around you. When you raise your vibrations, you will notice your emotional health improving. Here are some easy ways to “raise your vibrations” (click on the links to read more about each):

  2. Get out in Nature
  3. Verbalize your gratitude
  4. Get your body moving
  5. Surround yourself with inspiring and supportive people
  6. Meditate
  7. Breathe
  8. Drink water
  9. Eat fresh organic foods
  10. Hug someone
  11. Take a bath or a shower
  12. Listen to uplifting, inspiring, or calming music
  13. Play with your child or pet
  14. Give compliments
  15. Change the words you use
